Tom Kearns and his family suffered extensive damage to their home because of Superstorm Sandy. Federal Emergency Management Agency funds helped them rebuild their damaged foundation. A Small Business Administration disaster loan is helping to rebuild the bungalow out back, where his daughter’s family will live. At the moment, Tom and his wife share their two-bedroom house with their daughter, son-in-law, grand daughter, and three dogs.
“I appreciate the help that they’ve given already, but when I actually look and put all the numbers together, we’re still going to come up short,” he said. “All help is greatly appreciated.”
